This is so beautifully penned…I had to share it…
It’s true I have never seen you
and we have never met,
never shaken hands or even truly hugged
and yet! I know for sure
you care for me by the kindness that you give.
And our keyboards keep us together
doesn’t matter where we live
so I am emailing you to put a smile on your face
and to let you know in my heart you have a special place.
The sun is always shining just above the cloudy haze,
as we share friendship across an online maze.
We express love and kindness without a face
it comes from deep inside our hearts from a special place.
Within our lives we share special dreams, unusual and unique,
and it is with our keyboards that we speak.
We are friends from the emails we exchange,
I wouldn’t know you on the street and it doesn’t even seem strange.
You have brightened my life with the thoughtfulness you show.
Your words encourage me more than you could know.
As people change and times keep changing too,
one thing stays the same the way I feel for you.
For this friendship we possess we owe a world of gratitude and debt,
because we would not know each other if it wasn’t for the net.
After a tiring week of never-ending emails and endless telephone calls,
I needed quietness.
I walked to the beach to enjoy the cool see breeze.
The day was luminous and beautiful.
As I face the sparkling turquois sea, the islands welcomed me.
Blue enamel and white fluffy clouds swathe the horizon.
It’s so quite…only the droning of the airplane at the far distance,
Then the hum of dragon-fly wings, the lapping of the waves against the shore,
The buzzing of the bee over my head and the pandanus leaves interrupt my reverie.
From some hidden spot in the grasses,
A frog scolded the pilot for disturbing the peace.
Seagulls’ called from the far right; a chickadee chirped to my left.
A family of four sand crabs made an occasional dance, in search for food from where I sat.
A breathe of air stirred the palm trees,
And caused the fireweeds nearby to sway and shimmer.
The smell of seaweed was in the air.
It was a fishy smell, a pungent, salty odour.
I felt the warmth of the scorching sun, despite the sheltering trees.
Here and there, fireweed seedpod split open, releasing the white soft cotton.
The sea breeze ruffled the water.
I seemed to see a thousand silver-winged birds, dancing to their hearts’ content.

My life is in your hands;
My hope is “graciously” marred.
I live on honest Danes.
Merits is all I know
“Practise makes perfect”, I say!
But none too dared to show.
My pearls, I preach in spotless day,
The screams I hear in abundant mane
For all I care, the heathens pray.
The summers’ frame of earth less prey,
“I hear I hear the messengers’ plea!”
Of precious life a deed to spare
“My life is in your hands”, I say!
My hopes are hopeless, marred and bare
I hear, I hear no plea announced
Of what my life should be or should not be
I trail in blame, a thought to bear
My pray, a prayer of heart-felt snag,
My life! My life is in your hands.

I came across below statement this morning and thought to myself , “How so true it is that in our busy schedule of what we call LIFE, we rarely acknowledge God and say Thank you for our good health, clothes on our back, small change in our pockets , even a job to go to five days a week! and the littlest things that we take for granted. I have started this for myself and I want to urge you to try it too; You will realize that by doing this, it does help to put things into perspective.
Each morning, name the things you are grateful for! Anything at all! Be it your life, family, pets, friends, anything that makes you smile or happy, give a name and be grateful for it. A simple thank you Lord! is all He (God) is expecting of us. I do that now often, I always utter a “thank you Lord” when I see my children laugh and play together, even the sound of their voices cackling with glee when they receive a cuddle, hug or a tickle – It’s magical! And I thank God that I can experience this with my husband, children and family. Enjoy reading and don’t forget to be grateful.
WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN WHEN WE PRAY?
This is one of the nicest e-mails I have seen and is so true:
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around.
We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, “This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received”
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section..
The angel then said to me, “This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.”
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally! At the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. “This is the Acknowledgment Section,” my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed.
“How is it that there is no work going on here?” I asked.
“So sad,” the angel sighed. “After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.”
“How does one acknowledge God’s blessings?” I asked.
“Simple,” the angel answered. Just say, “Thank you, Lord.”
“What blessings should they acknowledge?” I asked
“If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead, and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.”
“And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity.”
“If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.”
“If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 700 million people in the world.”
“If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are envied by and more blessed than three billion people in the world.”
“If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare”
“If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm. You’re unique to all those in doubt and despair.”
“Okay. What now? How can I start?’
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special, and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
Have a good day.Count your blessings. And if you care to, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are
“Thank you Lord for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people with whom to share it.”
If you have read this far, and are thankful for all that you have been blessed with, how can you not send it on? I thank God for everything, especially all my family and friends.
